Kenneth Hale
Director of Advocacy and Legal Services, Advocacy Centre for Tenants Ontario (ACTO)



Kenn is the Director of Advocacy and Legal Services at the Advocacy Centre for Tenants Ontario (ACTO) in Toronto. He has worked in Ontario’s community legal clinics since he was called to the bar and now focusses on law reform, test cases and training. His work includes legal support on Charter challenges in Ontario’s courts, a submission on housing rights in Canada to a United Nations’ Committee in Geneva in 2016 and participation in the Government of Canada’s national consultations on a Human Rights and Housing. He has spoken frequently on tenants’ rights and housing law at Law Society programs, legal clinic training events, conferences and community meetings.
